Lucia Grace

I am an IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, Advanced Yoga Instructor RYT 500 , and dancer based in the San Francisco Bay area. At the heart of my practice, I believe that movement is powerful medicine, and that true liberation can be found by journeying deep within and setting ourselves free from limiting beliefs and fear with loving presence. I continue to be drawn deeper into the practice of yoga, not only for the physical benefits of asana, but for the yoga that happens off the mat: integrating these yogic principles of truth, compassion, mindfulness and acceptance into our lives.

In addition to my private Yoga Therapy practice, I offer weekly classes in my hometown in the styles of Vinyasa, Yin and Hatha Flow. I currently teach classes, workshops and teacher trainings at Purusha Yoga. I am grateful to be part of the non-profit Purusha Seva Project, offering therapeutic yoga classes for veterans and other local underserved communities here in the bay area. I also hold weekly classes at The Center SF and Zazen, and rotate as a guest teacher at Ecstatic Dance SF. I have collaboratively held yoga retreats on the big island of Hawaii at Kalani Retreat Center and look forward to more retreat experiences ahead!

My private sessions, group classes and workshops are somatic in nature, infused with energizing chakra practices, guided visualizations, conscious breathwork, elements of improvisation, and bodywork in addition to classical yoga. My goal is to create a safe and inspirational space in which students can let go and discover their deepest truths as we move, play and heal together. I am excited to share my musings on yoga with the Yogapedia community!
